I am Priest-in-charge at Benington and Walkern and am originally from Somerset with Brethren roots.
I studied at the London School of Theology, formerly London Bible College (where I met my husband), then worked for Scripture Union for ten years as a commissioning book editor. I was then ordained into the Church of England after further study at Oak Hill Theological College in London. Two curacies and an MA in Biblical Hermeneutics later, I now lead the benefice ministry team in Benington and Walkern. Half of my working week is taken up with Diocesan responsibilities as Assistant Diocesan Director of Ordinands and Bishop's Officer for Women's Ministry. In these roles I have a brief for preparing ordinands for selection, training and their first parish post, and have a particular responsibility for the ongoing development of the ministry of women in St Albans diocese. My interests include playing the violin and piano, walking, and good coffee. |
