This year's Holiday Club was held from 18th to 22nd August, and was once again based on a Scripture Union programme. It was a wonderfully
inspiring event involving 40 children and many adult and teenage helpers, and great fun was had by all, not the least of it at the now
traditional family barbecue.
The theme of the teaching was based on the Olympic Games, and it encouraged the children to think of Jesus as the model of a true champion.
We broadened the children’s view of what winning really meant, and taught them how to be a winner in life. Like the Olympic champions, this meant
challenging ourselves to achieve higher and higher standards.
Thanks are due to Richard and his team from Rising Stars for organising a mini- Olympics one morning which delighted the children.
